Cilento
Just 100 km south of Naples there is a region hardly
known: the Cilento. For tourists the Cilento offers a whole variety
of excitements in one of Europe´s most beautiful countrysides -
antique sights in the UNESCO World Heritage, the second largest
national park in Italy, a delicious regional cuisine, the sea,
splendid panoramic views, sandy beaches, many possiblities for
sporting and hiking...
The Cilento is situated in the Province Salerno (Campania, Southern
Italy) - between Agropoli, Sapri and Vallo di Diano, near Calabria,
Naples and Pompei (see map). The coast is about 100 km long, quite
rocky and features many bays and sandy beaches. It is bordered by
mountains of 2,000 m height completing the picture with evergreen
olive trees and the cobalt blue sea. |
Cilento
Etwa 100 km südlich von Neapel beginnt eine in Deutschland
weitgehend unbekannte Region: der Cilento - seit den 90-er Jahren
zweitgrößter italienischer Nationalpark und UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe
der Menschheit.
Seine faszinierenden Landschaften sind geprägt durch immergrüne
Olivenbäume, 100 km Küste mit feinen Sandstränden, Buchten, Grotten,
Steilküsten, kobaltblaues Meer sowie Berge bis 1.900 m Höhe.

griechische Tempel in Paestum -, eine vielfältige regionale Küche
